The 1998 Goody's Dash Series season was a NASCAR touring season held from February 12, 1998 to November 15, 1998 composed of twenty races. Despite one of the series' most competitive years, featuring visits to nineteen tracks in seven states, Robert Huffman ran away to the championship in one of the most dominant seasons ever posted by a driver in series history. Eight victories and eighteen top-tens, including a streak of 15 consecutive top-fives, put Huffman up on former series champ David Hutto by some 399 markers. Ricky Bryant, an impressive youngster, was 3rd in the championship battle after winning his first career race. Those drivers combined to record 15 of the 20 races. Also in Victory Lane during the year were former series champs Mike Swaim, Jr. (three times) and Mickey York (once), along with first time winner Jake Hobgood.
