2008 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Central
The 2008 Whelen Southern Modified Tour season was a NASCAR touring season held from April 6, 2008 to October 19, 2008 composed of just eleven races. Brian Loftin capped a decade of racing in NASCAR Touring by winning his first title, holding off Tim Brown's late-season charge by thirty points. Four-time winner Loftin was in control most of the season after defending champ L.W. Miller faltered midway through the season. Brown won twice as did Miller. Andy Seuss won once during the year, as did Burt Myers and first time winner George Brunnhoelzl, III
