BIOGRAPHY
Axel Anderson (July 21, 1922 - September 14, 1994) was a NASCAR driver from Patchogue, NY. He competed in five Sprint Cup Series events in his career.

Anderson's debut came in 1955, when he competed at Daytona Beach Road Course. Starting 41st in the field of forty-eight, Anderson completed all but two laps and drove his way up to 15th, a solid showing. He was unable to improve at Langhorne due to a crash, finishing 29th.

Anderson's other three races came in 1956. Anderson started off at Daytona Beach again, but this time struggled to a 45th place finish thanks to a crash. But Anderson rebounded nicely in his other two races, finishing a career-best 14th at Old Bridge and then a 15th at Bridgehampton.
