BIOGRAPHY
Bernard Alvarez (December 14, 1939 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Jacksonville, FL. He competed in nine Sprint Cup Series events in his career.

Seven of Alvarez's races came in 1964, when he debuted at Old Bridge. Starting last (22nd), Alvarez would also finish last after an early sway bar issue. Unfortunately, that was very typical of Alvarez's season. He failed to finish any of his starts that year and only cracked the top-twenty three times during the season, mostly just depending on the size of the field. His year's best run was a 6th place start and 15th place finish at Moyock.

Alvarez fared no better in his other two races, both occurring in 1965. He started the year off rough, having an early clutch issue leave him 42nd at Atlanta and then followed that up with a 24th (of twenty-five cars) at Greenville.
