BIOGRAPHY
Bill Benson is a former NASCAR driver from Far Rockaway, NY. He competed in sixteen Sprint Cup Series events in his career, recording two top-tens.

Benson debuted in 1957, making his first start New Oxford. After a solid 19th place finish there, Benson recorded his first top-ten (10th) two starts later at Myrtle Beach. He quickly followed that up with a career-best 7th place effort Syracuse. For the rest of the year, Benson ran solidly, picking up five more top-twenties and finishing 30th in points.

Benson's other five races came in 1958, running consistenly as well. He finished in the top-19 in four of his five starts, bested by a 16th at Wall Stadium and a 17th in his career finale at Bridgehampton.
