| Bob James (December 15, 1922 - October 15, 2002) was a NASCAR driver from Cuyahoga Falls, OH. He competed in eleven Sprint Cup Series events in his career.
James' debut came in 1951, when he competed at Toledo. Starting positions in the field of thirty-three are unknown, but James had an early mechanical issue with a wheel and finished 26th.
The remaining of James' starts came twelve years later, when he had a ten-race schedule lined up for 1963. It started off fantastically, with James recording a career-best 14th place finish in the Daytona 500 Qualifer event, a finish that transferred him into the 500, where he finished 18th. The next four races were a struggle though, with James failed to finish three of his four races, only recording one top-ten during that time - an 18th at Richmond. So James transferred teams, going over to the powerhouse Petty Enterprises organization. But that too proved to be a wasted opportunity, failing to finish three of his four races with that team, the only exception being a 15th place run at Atlanta. He ended his career with a 23rd place at Charlotte.
