The Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown is a late model stock car automobile race held annually by the Denny Hamlin Foundation and raises money for charity. Started in 2008, it is a race that invites some of NASCAR's biggest stars to compete with some of Virginia's greatest local racers.
The Showdown ran at Southside Speedway from 2008-2010. In 2011, the event hit the big time when it ran at Richmond International Raceway and was televised live on SPEED Channel. It will return to Richmond in 2012, airing live April 26th at 7 PM EST.
