BIOGRAPHY
Dick Blackwell is a former NASCAR driver from Startex, SC. He competed in six Sprint Cup Series events in his career.

Blackwell's debut came in 1956, when he competed at the prestigious Daytona Beach. It was a tough race for the driver, finishing 56th in the deep field. But after that Blackwell improved quite a bit, finishing a career-best 12th at Atlanta and then 21st at North Wilkesboro.

Blackwell's final three races all came during the 1959 season, when the driver finished a career-high 80th in points. Despite crashing to 25th in his season opener at Darlington, the rest of the year went well for the driver, finishing 20th at Weaverville and then a 17th at North Wilkesboro in his final race.
