BIOGRAPHY
Gene Austin is a former NASCAR driver from Mexico, NY. He competed in two Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning just one top-ten.

Both of those races came in 1950, when Austin debuted at Vernon. Starting positions in both of his races are unknown, but Austin drove to a 17th place finish at Vernon. He was luckily able to improve upon that in his other event, recording a solid 6th place effort at Hillsboro.
