|
Herschel Buchanan (June 5, 1907-May 11, 1985) is a former NASCAR driver from Shreveport, LA. He competed in twenty-three Sprint Cup Series events in his career, spanning from 1950 to 1954. Buchanan had a solid career, earning 13 top-tens in his twenty-three starts. His best year was 1952, when Buchanan finished 16th in points after top-tens in all five of his starts. One of those was a career-best 3rd place finish at Langhorne, which he matched in 1953 at Charlotte. He finished his career with a fifth place finish at LeHi in 1954.
