| BIOGRAPHY
|
| Kristin began her racing career at eight years of age driving a go-kart on a dirt track. Going undefeated for the season, she won her first Championship and Rookie of the Year title at age 11, racing Super Mini Cup racecars at Houston Motorsports Park. Her racing career progressed to the Late Model Division at age 15 and as a high school freshman won her second Rookie of the Year title. Completing high school in only three years to pursue her racing career, Kristin would continue making history as the first female to win numerous late model races in the state of Texas and lead the points championship against a field of 37 men. Twice she has finished 2nd in the run for the championship title, as well as 3rd, 4th, and 7th two times. By the age of 21 she held three track records throughout the United States which remain intact today. NASCAR named her the 2008 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program Driver of the Year in recognition of her commitment, professionalism and performance on the racetrack as well as off the racetrack. Kristin currently competes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West and various late model races throughout the country. Since graduating from high school in 2005 she has also continuously worked toward earning her college degree. While much of her education has been done on the road between races she will graduate from the University of Houston in 2010 with a degree in marketing. Kristin, a second generation racecar driver, also enjoys speaking to both youth groups and adult organizations about her own experiences growing up in a racing family and in a male-dominated sport. Her cautionary but motivational talks have inspired many who have become life-long fans of this hard-charging young lady from Texas.
