BIOGRAPHY
Reggie Ausmus (August 19, 1931 -September 23, 1990) is a former NASCAR driver from Cupertino, CA. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career.

Ausmus' first race came in 1956, when Ausmus debuted at Mobile. Starting last (37th) in the field, Ausmus had mid-race overheating issues that left him with a disappointing 29th place finish.

Ausmus luckily had better results in his final two races, both coming in 1957. He started the year off at Los Angeles, starting 20th. Ausmus again had problems, falling eighty laps down in the race and finishing with a mediocre 20th place showing. But Ausmus had his best race for last, competing at Sacramento. With a career-best start (15th), Ausmus fell twenty-three laps down but still drove home with a career-best 12th place finish.
