BIOGRAPHY
Richard D. Brown (April 9, 1940- ) is a former NASCAR driver from Claremont, NC. He competed in fifty Sprint Cup Series events in his career, spanning from 1971 to 1976. Brown recorded just three top-tens, including a career-best fifth at Martinsville in 1972. His highest points finish also came in 1972, when he finished 29th. Following 1973, Brown only competed in selected events before retiring after the 1976 season.
