| Ron Hutcherson (April 29, 1943 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Keokuk, IA. He was a three-time champion of the ARCA RE/MAX Series, winning each year from 1972 to 1974. In his NASCAR career, Hutcherson competed in ten Sprint Cup Series events to earn two top-ten finishes.
Hutcherson's debut came during the 1972 season, when he competed at Rockingham for Donlavey Racing. It was a tough initiation for the driver, whose early crash left him in last (40th) place.
Hutcherson stepped it up to a five-race schedule for the 1977 season, when the driver garnered a career-high 66th position in the final points. It was a great year for Hutcherson, despite finishing 32nd in the prestigious Daytona 500 to start the year. Other than a 29th place finish in the other Daytona event, Hutcherson closed out the year with three top-eleven finishes, grabbing his first career top-ten with a 6th at Talladega and then finishing 11th in both Charlotte events.
Hutcherson came back for three more races during the 1978 season. He hit the ground running, making up for his Daytona issues the year before by simply performing during the 500. He shocked the NASCAR community by qualifying on the outside pole, and from there completed all but one lap to wind up with a career-best 4th place finish. But various woes dashed his season from there, as a broken transmission left Hutcherson 34th at Talladega and 39th at Charlotte.
Hutcherson's final career start then came during the 1979 season, when he competed at Charlotte. Unfortunately, it was a horrible race for the driver, as he started last (41st) and finished last after a rear end gear broke on the very first lap.
