BIOGRAPHY
Slim Brown is a former NASCAR driver from Paterson, NJ. He competed in four Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten.

Brown's debut came in 1952, when he competed at Rochester. Starting 8th in the field of twenty-three, Brown's hopes were crushed just past the halfway point when overheating issues left him 19th.

He didn't fare any better when he returned to action in 1954, competing at Willow Springs. This time, Brown just lasted forty-one laps before a broken transmission halted his efforts in 22nd.

Brown, though, began to improve through the latter half of his career, starting in 1955 when he competed at Richmond. Starting 11th in the field, Brown ran near that position all day by staying out of trouble and wound up 12th.

Ironically, Brown's best race would be his final career race, when he Pittsburgh. Starting 16th in the field of twenty-two, Brown completed all but seventeen laps in the race and set sail to a remarkable 7th place finish.
