BIOGRAPHY
Terry Byers (January 23, 1950- ) is a former NASCAR driver from Wollongong, Australia. He competed in five Sprint Cup events in his career.

Byers debuted in 1989, making his first start at Charlotte, where he and fellow driver Allan Grice became the first two Australians to compete in the same NASCAR race. Starting 35th in the forty-two car field, Byers completed 379 of the 400 laps in route to a respectable 21st place showing. Byers competed later in both Pocono events, once again earning some respectable finishes of 19th and 21st. The 19th would end up being his best career finish.

Byers returned to the track in 1990, once again racing in the Coke 600 at Charlotte to start the year. After a disappointing 40th place finish, Byers dealt with another disappointing last place finish later in the year at Daytona.

Despite the talents shown during the 1989 season, the poor results in 1990 left Byers rideless and he has never again raced in NASCAR.
