Hey DaNASCAT. Just joined this Wiki. Any tasks you need help with? --D-Day 19:38, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Won't be a problem. --D-Day 23:36, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey Tim,
I can't think of any other real places to advertise it besides Google-bombing, but that might not go over so well. You could place it in a really prominent place on your Wikipedia user page. Other than that, I don't have much. I'll let you know if I think of anything. --D-Day 16:27, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm not that familiar with the succession boxes myself. If you can show me where you've used them, I'll be happy to give 'em a look. It could be because we might not have the code on this Wikia yet. --D-Day 19:37, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Send me some ideas for guidelines and policies, and I'll draft them all onto a page for people to read and become familar with the rules of the playground. It'd best if we got everyone on the same page. --D-Day 15:59, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
I believe __NOTOC__ is the way to go there. Just put it in somewhere on the page and it should work. Don't quote me on that though. --D-Day 22:54, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
I'll be glad to help, just need to know what the Race Knowledge one is about. I think I know what's going on with UpdateDriver though. --D-Day 21:48, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm going to be gone from today until the 18th, then again from the 20th until the 25th or 26th. (Crazy schedule, I know!) You're in charge! --D-Day 17:19, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
There is two Mark Martin articles you can delete Mark Martin (NASCAR) it is not necessary. I also updated the Mark Martin one.--Team6and7 01:52, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
I just made it into a redirect page. you don't need to delete it now.--Team6and7 01:55, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Not only that, he's mastered the art of sock puppetry! I think it's time to issue my first block... --D-Day 11:15, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Holy cow! 1 year??? You're brutal! I'M NOT WORTHY!!! I'M NOT WORTHY!!! (bows). Do you know any way for us to track IPs? We just want to make sure he/she doesn't come back. Oh well. First block. Pop the champaigne! --D-Day 18:39, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

I'll let you set up the liscensing tags and such, since you're better at that than I am. But I thought I'd let you know.
If you want the complete conversation in context, I'll send it all over to you. --D-Day 21:09, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Is it supposed to be the 1988 Busch 200? --D-Day 11:29, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
I like the idea. Let's see if they can be combined into one for the multi-car teams. --D-Day 21:10, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi! My name is Adi, and I'm just wondering if you can start me up on this site? Adi G. 21:00, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I was just wondering. You know those number graphics you've been adding lately to the results (like 2006 Emerson Radio 250)? How do you go about making those? I'd like to see more on here. --D-Day 23:12, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
I tend to Agree It would really be cool to see more of those

I consider you to be more table-tech-stuff savvy then I am, so I'd like you to have a look at the List of NASCAR teams. It just shows a white background and is difficult to differentiate. If you can have a look at it, great. --[[User:D-Day|The other admin]] 18:27, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
ROFLMAO! That's hilarious! Yes, I'll try to spruce up those templates. Would it be in bad taste to do the same to the banning notices? --The other admin 19:40, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Pretty cool idea. It'll especially help with the tables for the older races, which look a little band. --The other admin 19:58, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey im new..im a decent fan of Nascar and i hope i can help you out here. --Evil Yugi 01:29, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi Tim. I just got a message on Wikipedia from Technogreek43. He said he registered on here without an email address and says he forgot his password and can't log in. Any suggestions? --The other admin 11:23, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Happy holidays to you and yours on this fine morning! May you enjoy the rest of the holiday season and all the blessings it may give you! --The other admin 10:25, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
Looks good. It may be worth adding more older news on there just to fill up space. --D-Day 21:18, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
I am a new user and I was wondering about a userbox directory. - Patricksheridan 7:32am, January 20, 2007
It looks great! Very easy for people to look for races too! Well Done!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Have had other stuff going on. I'll get back to the race articles soon. --D-Day 18:48, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi Tim, my name's Scott. I'm working with Danny on several Entertainment projects. I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I'm here to help out. I see you've got a welcome template-- do you use the same for logged-in and non-logged-in users? —Scott (talk) 16:34, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes, the information for both of those races is correct. Thanks.
I am a new user, and I would kile to know what I have to do to become a site administrator. --BigBoss1337 14:34, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Tim -- I need to talk to you about something, but it's easier if we talk over e-mail. Would you mind sending me a message at danny at wikia.com? Thanks; talk to you soon! -- Danny<staff /> (talk) 21:50, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Tim! I'm just getting into work now -- I'm in California, so it's 9am here. I'm really glad to see that you're feeling okay about making the changes. I'll talk to folks this morning about changing the URL, and I'll get back to you as soon as I know something. Thanks! -- Danny<staff /> (talk) 16:04, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Yuck, that's a pain. I just added a note to the bug ticket about Monobook, and also that there's weirdness with the project pages, like The Third Turn:Accomplishments.
I'll add another note about that "edit has been rejected" message. How often does that happen? Is it when you're creating a brand new page, or other times? I just created two test pages, and I didn't get that... although I did get a couple of database loss errors. Tell me as much as you can about when you get that message, and I'll pass it on. --
Hey, i have some ideas but i dont know how to access sandbox, thanks - User: Halo 31887
It looks like the bugs that we saw yesterday have been resolved... I'm not seeing Monobook anymore, and edits seem to be going through. Are you still seeing any problems? -- Danny<staff /> (talk) 18:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Tim -- The new Third Turn spotlight is up now! It's in the sidebar, so if you haven't seen it yet, then it'll pop up soon. I hope you like it, and I hope it brings lots of new people to the site. Now that that's up, I'll work on getting some links from the main ArmchairGM site to here.
Also, I looked on Wikipedia for the template you asked me about, but I can't find it. Can you post a link?
Feel free to reply to me right here... I've got your page watchlisted, so I'll see your answer. Talk to you soon! -- Danny<staff /> (talk) 23:31, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
I've replied to your message here. :) -- Manticore (talk) 23:44, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Tim. My name's Chaz. If you don't mind me asking, who do you plan to vote for in November? Seeing your Campaign Platforms made me curious. CJS102793 22:46, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Your the owner of this site right? I am a new user and I want to know what needs to be done. I know a lot about NASCAR and I would love to help out. --Happy Gillmore 01:52, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
I really would like to find a copy, dvd or vhs of this race. The AUG race that Lenny Pond won. Do you have any ideas on where I might be able to? I know it has aired on Speed Vision, problem is we always find out after the fact. (And speedvision does not sell copies of programs aired) Please contact TJ reaseacup@hotmail.com Thank you
please withdraw and delete any and all entries you have made for the Brandon Ash Racing team in Wiki. You are not authorized to use the I.P. and have Very inaccurate information posted. I am asking you instead of having the post deleted by Wiki under court order. Ash racing thanks you for your general interest, but wishes that you no longer write Wiki entries about the team. They will put their own entries in very soon after you delete yours. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Hi DaNASCAT,
I've been working on a new main page layout this morning. Hopefully you have read about the skin and ad changes at Wikia's New Style on Central Wikia. If not, I hope you'll have a look.
One of the changes is a block of two ads on each main page. It's possible that they won't always show up, but to ensure your main page continues to work properly when they do, you need to update your main page column formatting code with new column tags
I have drafted a main page using the new tags on here which I hope you can take a look at - feel free to edit it of course. The main change to the layout is the fixed width of the right column. This still allows a lot of customisation - for example see these main pages - w:c:muppet, w:c:wowwiki, w:c:ffxi.
If you encounter any problems with the new tags, please let me know.
Thanks -- Shawn (talk) 21:55, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Are you sure it held a NASCAR race? I don't see any information at racing-reference.info. I don't remember it being a NASCAR-sanctioned track, but I don't know everything. It was an ASA-sanctioned track last year. It had been know as Capitol Speedway back in the 1960s. Royalbroil 13:15, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Hello, I wanted to ask if you could please add Charles Tidwell to the list of NASCAR Sprint Cup Drivers. He was the top Strictly Stock driver in both Georgia and the southeast during his career, which I have newspaper articles from the Macon Telgraph to back up. I tried to edit the page to add him myself but don't see any way to reach the list of drivers. Thanks! (ConnieTidwell 01:59, 23 September 2008 (UTC))
I logged in this morning to find that the picture on my father's page [[Charles Tidwell] was broken, so I figured someone may have deleted it. I tried to upload another and I'm getting a message that image uploads are disabled. Is it everyone or have I been blocked for some reason? Thanks! (ConnieTidwell 16:51, 23 September 2008 (UTC))
Hi Tim -- Hey, y'know how we moved your site over to armchairgm.com? Well, guess what. :) We're gonna move you back. We're actually moving everything over to wikia.com -- including Armchair, which is going to become armchairgm.wikia.
I don't know exactly when the move is going to happen, but I wanted to give you a heads-up, and to apologize for ping-ponging your site around. Moving stuff to Armchair was a worthwhile experiment -- turns out it didn't work -- now we're going back. I hope you don't feel too stressed about it -- I'll make sure things go smoothly.
Meanwhile, I want to introduce you to Shawn (User:Multimoog) -- he's a new helper working with Wikia on the Sports sites. He's getting to know all the big Sports wikis, so you'll see him around. Please let him know if there's anything you need, and if you've got questions about the move, I can help you with that stuff.
The site looks great these days -- so exciting to have 13,500 articles! -- Danny<staff /> (talk) 00:25, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Please let me know about articles that need to be created, edited, fixed etc. Thanks User:Jdh87
based on your deletes, and edits to the template, it looks like its fixed now? if so, can you please mark it as fixed when you get a chance. thanks --Uberfuzzy 09:03, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Not sure if you saw this, but I'd be willing to do it. --Charitwo (talk) 04:07, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
It seem your first request was already somehow down because nothing links to the other template. I have the list of categories ready, however, for transfer to Category:Truck Series drivers. --Charitwo (talk) 04:19, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm glad that I'm able to contribute. I'll probably only be able to do both the NWT and SWT's up through 1995 since I'm most familiar with both series up until that point.
Hey DaNASCAT. My name is Joe and I'm with the Wikia Sports support team. I don't know if you are aware of it or not, but your current main page design is very wide. I noticed the message that Ose left on the Main page's talk page, so the problem is definitely affecting users. The most widely used screen resolution is 1024x768. I uploaded an image showing what the main page looks like to everyone using that resolution. As you can see, the entire right column is unseen, unless the user scrolls sideways. I'm sure you want the entire main page to be visible to all of your wiki's visitors and contributors, so I wanted to ask if you were open to suggestions and/or help for redesigning it. I've designed many main pages, logos, and skins, and I'd be glad to help out with this.
I guess the first thing I need to know is: how attached are you to using that many images as links to the various categories? Granted, they're a different method, but I fear that most people would be overwhelmed by it all, thus getting confused and, in extreme cases, maybe even leaving the wiki due to not being able to get to the information they want. Oh, I can also clean up that 3-shaped logo so that it looks more professional. So let me know if you'll accept my offer to help, and I'll get started on a test page. JoePlay (talk) 00:30, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi. The new SMW code is now live. Have you checked those unaddressable pages? Can you get to them now? Are they still blank or getting new error message? --Uberfuzzy<staff /> 17:19, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi. I've checked Greg Fowler/Results. SMW is timeouting there. Try to remove any of SeasonResultForm calls. Any two of them work ok. Three SMW searches seem to be too much for php limit. (3 is not really important. It's the amount of stats you have. I bet you can have just one call blanking a page - long as you #ask for too much data.)
I don't know what is the right solution for this problem. Streamlined SMW templates? More caching? (Driver/Results including Driver/Results/Foo page which contains SMW call?) With so much stats... maybe pure MW extension? It's not semantics what's going on here. It's hardcore data mining. (-;
I'm sorry I have more questions than answers. Please let me know what are your thoughts about all of this. -- Nef <staff /> (talk) 15:16, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Revert your edit on that page also, because its affecting all the people that uses monobook skin in the same way since it has a lot of cripple JS --Cizagna (Talk) Central Dofus 15:40, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
I put in a new Infobox, i think its more sleek, and provides a better wa to look at drivers, let me know what you think, i have ideas for a teams version as well as others. -User:Jdh87 March 11,2009
I am editing the Template as there is an error that causes all articles linked to that template to have data on Dale Earnhart Jr. and the correct code in a seperate box. This should cause the templates to be fixed - User:Super Goku V March 26, 2009
I'm really impressed with how much you (mainly you alone) have been able to develop with the Third Turn! Every time I search for a more obscure NASCAR driver or event, I find it here! Good job! I'm working on Scott Gaylord right now. Very soon, there will be a lot of content on him coming up on the English Wikipedia. I was just planning to write the article since he's not very well known in NASCAR, but I see that he's competed in the 24 hours of Daytona and won several SCCA championships. I found a very quirky fact about him, so I think I'll nominate it for Did You Know. Did You Know... that he asked his wife for their first date while competing against her in a race? I couldn't make up something that good! I've been an admin on the English Wikipedia since Nov. 2007 and I'm currently running for admin on Wikimedia Commons (but please don't go there to vote because I'm not canvasing for support). I hope that life has been treating you well. Royalbroil 15:24, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
On the 2009 season page I put in another team chart to look like the style on Jayski. Could you tell me which is better?
Here, I pastebinned a family folder which I tested and know works perfectly, see here. It should work fine with that, just change your with this and update the self name to what you had before. Other than that, if you have any problems just ask. Cheers! ~Joey~ ^Talk^ 02:17, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
File:ModStats.png How's this? JoePlay (talk) 20:26, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
I filled in the gaps you asked for regarding the 1988 Winston 150 and the 1986 Outside pole qualifier. With regards to the 1987 7-UP 151, I'm showing Rick Fuller finishing 24th and Ron Shephard not at the event. Can't confirm that 100% but I'm pretty certain that Shephard was not there.
Carl
Hello Again Tim,
Your right about my wiki skills, pretty poor. I just noticed on the 1988 Winston 150 at Rougemont that you have 42 drivers in that race. My records are showing that 26 cars stared the race with Wayne Anderson finishing last. All of the drivers from 27th on down were non-qualifiers, although the order you have them in is correct as to how they time trialed.
Carl
Hi Tim:
After researching a little bit, discovered that in the 1988 Icebreaker (race #3), positions 33-40 (Dan Avery-Joe Mammolito) were Non-Qualifiers for that event.
Carl
Tim,
I know what you mean about that Driver, I don't know who he is either, but I have his name written down in my records (more than once in DNQ's) Can't remember what the source was at the time back then. I'll look into it further though when I get a chance. This is pretty cool stuff, but I'm sure you can attest that it can be more than a tad frustrating at times.
Carl
Hello Tim,
Burning the midnight oil here in NJ. Sorry to say, I don't have results for any of the races you were looking for. Pretty sure I have DNQ lists for 1999 though, I'll check into that. Also, I was looking through 1988 finishes and noticed that my records show Tim Connolly finishing 31st in the Winston 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park (1988). I checked with NASCAR points and it shows that Connolly had 5 starts that year; the 31st place finish at Indy would give him the five starts. I was going to add him but figured I let you check into it first. Thanks again for all your hard work.
Carl
Tim,
I see you've been busy, as usual, just wanted to point out a small error I discovered. in the 1996 Lee 150 is shows Tim Connolly finishing 2nd and 3rd. That aside, thanks a million once again for your seemingly tireless work.
Carl
Hello Tim
1993 Sunoco 300 showing Mike Ewanitsko 1st and 30th., Not checking up on you, just noticed as I was updating my records.
Carl
Hi Tim:
Here's a mystery for you, My records show Tom Bolles finishing 22nd in the Giant Eagle snacks 150 at Jennerstown in 1990. I have him as staring 12th in the race. If you notice on the race results page, no one else stared 12th and John Hoffman is listed as starting 22nd. Here's my conundrum, NASCAR points show Bolles starting 20 races that year and garnering 2426 points, meaning Bolles did not start the race or was there and got no points. (maybe a DQ of some kind). If Bolles was at the race, finished 22nd (97 points) his final tally would have been 2523.
Totally Confused????
Carl
Hello Tim,
Just a "heads up", I noticed that on the 1995 NAPA Twin 150's at Thompson; it shows that Mike Stefanik finished 28th and 32nd
Carl
Hey Tim,
OOPS, forgot to log in. See message about Stefanik finishing 28th and 32nd in NAPA Twin 150,s at Thompson in 1995.
Carl
How's it going Tim,
Just a head's up, in 2003 the mod tour had an 18 race season, from what I see on the site the 13th race of the year, the "American Sleeve Bearing American Classic 150" at Stafford Springs is not shown. I have the feature run down along with starting positions, Non-Qualifiers and Pole Winner. If you don't have this info, I'll be glad to enter it if you can set up the template, (I still stink at this Wiki stuff)
Carl
Tim,
I know I sound redundant, but I for one appreciate all of your hard work and congratulate you on getting all 505 races up on the site. Your attention to detail is to be highly commended, and although I'm not much of a drinker; my next glass of beer or wine will be toasted to your dedication.
Thanks again,
Carl
Hello Tim,
Wanted to ask if you could check on something when you get a chance. In the 1987 M.J. Sullivan 100 at Waterford, the site shows Eddie D'Hondt finishing 21st. My records indicate that Rick Donnolly finished 21st in that race.
Carl
On that Dale Earnhardt Sr. page, I noticed some nonsense about the main heading saying Dead Person, edit made by Jdh87 , I have taken care of it myself and undid the edit, but I think I might have spotted a vandal.
Marauder 09 00:23, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Hello Tim,
Regarding your recent question on the 1987 MJ Sullivan Race at Waterford; I'm showing Dave Thomas 17th and Rick Donnolly 21st with Bruce D'Alessandro 24th (I have no idea who B. Thomas might be)
Carl
Hello Tim,
Just a heads up, I noticed that the 1988 Goody's modified 150 at Orange County Speedway shows the same race data as the Winston Classic at Martinsville (next race, same year). My records show Mike Ewanitsko winning the pole at Orange County, I don't have any time or speed data though.
Carl
Hello Tim:
Another "head's up." I noticed that the 2002 Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway does not show the 10th place finisher in your results run down. My records show that Dave Etheridge finished 10th in the event and started 11th
Carl
Tim:
Found another one, The 2002 Spring Sizzler (race #2) results do not show 24th place finisher. I have Jimmy Broderick finishing 24th and starting 27th.
Carl
I might as well won the lottery! One of my pictures ranks real high on google images and a big-time NASCAR sponsor gave me garage & pit passes for the Milwaukee Mile race last weekend! I was hanging with the drivers during introductions and I was able to get pictures of VERY MANY drivers! I posted them on my flickr account starting here. I would greatly appreciate knowing who these drivers are so that I can upload them to Wikipedia. I don't mind if you want to share the love and upload them here as well, as long as you use Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 2.0 licensing. I could make up the template for CC-by-SA-2.0. I'm an admin on the English Wikipedia as well as Wikimedia Commons. I would greatly appreciate your help with additions and corrections. Royalbroil 00:31, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi daNASCAT!
We're glad you're so enthusiastic about this wiki, and have been having so much fun working on the design. However, we'd like to encourage you to ask you not to expand the size of the header so much. For the majority of our users, such a huge header can push the content of the pages completely below the fold, requiring them to scroll to see it. Since numerous other things (sitenotice, new messages bar, multiple toolbars in their browser) may push the page down even further, they may not even see the page title. We know from experience that search engine visitors who don't immediately see what they're looking for will click out of a page without hunting or scrolling, so over time this could do a lot of damage to your wiki, especially compared to the so-so value of a striking graphic that most visitors will be tuning out and ignoring after their first page-view or two.
We encourage you to check out what other wikis are doing -- Star Wars at http://starwars.wikia.com in particular has done some nice things without reducing page size. Others have also created some striking effects with banners the same size as the logo space: see http://lostpedia.wikia.com and http://dcau.wikia.com and http://avatar.wikia.com for some ideas.
Best wishes, and please let us know if there are other concerns or questions we can help you with! — Catherine<staff/> (talk) 01:09, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
No Problem Tim, I've seen the incorrect spelling before too. I wasn't certain until I googled his name. As always, I'm amazed at the time and work you have put into this effort. Great Job!
Carl.
Why is there a picture of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and all of his stats on all the NASCAR driver pages?
So this is kinda like Wikipedia except it's all about NASCAR? That's a great idea. I hope this site becomes well known soon! --NASCARmetalhead1337 20:37, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
Hey, can you change the link part of the Jimmy Ingram page I just added? It wasn't Sprint Cup. In 1980, the Winston Cup Grand National series was the big race on Sunday. I know the Series names have changed since then, and I don't keep up any more - but I'd like this to be right. Jimmy Ingram was my dad; he passed away 11 years ago, but that Dover race was one of the happiest moments of his life - mine, too - and I like the idea of his little bit of fame being recorded forever and correctly. Thanks!!!

Im not all that Familiar with Wikias, but I know enough to get around lol. Alex's father is David Fleming. He also used the #05 when he raced. I enjoy updating pages, I am good friends with Alex, and I help him out at PASS Races occasionally, whenever Bradley McCaskill isnt racing, I help him out wherever he goes.

Come on my talk page, if you want. — TulipVorlax 01:20, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
I was researching Norm Nelson for a new article on the English Wikipedia and I came across his article here. His article here doesn't make sense, and the big gap is because he was a USAC Stock Car driver and champion in 1960, 1965, and 1966!
Other drivers with this problem include Butch Hartman [1] and Ramo Stott. I urge you to check our their Wikipedia articles.
Every time I come here it keeps getting better! Keep up the great work! Royalbroil 02:14, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
